| - Vile Peter is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is an elf and used to be one of Father Christmas' best helpers, but something happened and he turned bad. Since then, Father Christmas has kept him locked up in a cell at the workshop.
- Peter (presumably before he was said to be "vile") worked in Father Christmas' workshop and was known to be one of Santa's best helpers. Unfortunately, "something" happened and Peter turned bad. Father Christmas attempted to contain the problem by locking Vile Peter in a cell, but the bad elf escaped. On Christmas Eve 1997, Vile Peter visited the Emerald Hill Zone with the intent of kidnapping all the children of the Emerald Hill folk. Even before midnight, Peter was moderately successful, having captured half of the children in town (including Tommy and Sally). Undisturbed by anyone, the plan was working well, with the elf tricking children into opening their bedroom windows before sucking them into a tiny jar. Eventually, Sonic the Hedgehog discovered him "creeping" around but was unsure of his plot. He began to realise the problem when the parents of captured children emerged from their houses, crying for their youngsters. To avoid questions, Vile Peter used magic powder to knock Sonic off his feet. Unfortunately, by the time Sonic was ready to retaliate, Peter had disappeared into thin air. Fortunately, he had been recaptured by Father Christmas, placing him in his sack before releasing all of the stolen children.
