The Jedi Profilers were a secretive group within the Jedi Order who took it upon themselves to search for Sith who might be hiding among their peers. They were formed around the year 6,924 BBY, as a response to the Second Great Schism. For several centuries, the group operated with virtually no oversight, as few were even aware of their existence. However, one mysterious Sith Marauder, Darth Cern, managed to identify one of their earliest members, Urias Pren, and killed him, which suggests that one of the early profilers decided to break rank. Ever since then, adherents of the so-called "Cult of Cern" have appeared periodically and murdered Jedi who were suspected of being Profilers.
