Kossos was a Gangrel, native to Aleppo during the height of Islamic rule. Embraced as a means to fight Islam following the weakened state of the Cainite overlords after the First Crusade and preserve the Hellenic traditions of the city, Kossos is a follower of Mithraism and his body was stained with various Beast Marks following battle frenzies. He was proud of his state, seeing himself as a holy warrior in a righteous battle against the heathens (ironically the same way the Ashirra regarded him and his sire).
