House of Flora is a fashion design and consultancy Studio founded in 1996 in London, specialising in avant-garde headwear for the catwalk, fashion campaigns and collectors. The headwear is often driven by materials: PVC, perspex, felt, leather, wood veneer, alluminium, steel and nylon and influenced by strong geometry and historical figures, as well as by concepts in modern art. The company was started by Flora McLean after she Flora graduated from fashion womenswear at The Royal College of Art. HOF produces hats, jewellery and an eyewear line all made in the UK. Regular high end collaborations with Haute Couture and ready to wear designers, Givenchy, Bill Blass, Diane Von Furstenberg show the design team can work to a bespoke brief.
