abstract
| - Ollie Clarke is a central midfielder who graduated through the Rovers youth system, joining the professional ranks in 2009 alongside fellow youth players Eliot Richards, Dan Cayford, Mark Cooper, Neikell Plummer, George Booth, Steve Kingdon and Jack McKenna. He was named as an unused substitute four times during the 2009–10 season and despite not making it onto the pitch in any of those matches impressed enough in training and reserve games to be given a second season with the senior team. After loan spells with Gloucester City and Mangotsfield United he was twice more an unused substitute, before finally making his debut as an 88th-minute substitute for Harry Pell in the final game of the 2010–11 season, a 2–1 defeat to Colchester United. Having finally broken through into the first team he suffered a huge setback when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury on the first day of pre-season training, forcing him to spend almost the entire season in the physio's room. He finally regained full fitness in March 2012, when he was sent out on loan to Clevedon Town in order to get some games under his belt. His second appearance in the Rovers first team came almost a year and a half after making his debut, when he replaced Eliot Richards in the 71st minute of a 3–1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon in October 2012.
