Hyōsube, the former Captain of the Third Division, the title itself left a bad taste in the Shinigami's mouth. Hyōsube loathed the idea of holding such a prestige within an organization that would willingly slaughter an entire race of people, in the name of order. Hyōsube had openly opposed their governments rule and had to pay the price in the World of the Living. His past aside, he had no complaints with his current life. It brought a sense of peace that he had not felt since his youth.

  • Hyōsube, the former Captain of the Third Division, the title itself left a bad taste in the Shinigami's mouth. Leaned up against the wooden wall outside of his shop, Hyōsube's one bare eye was void of life. Dark bags had formed under his eyes and a loud yawn escaped his lips. He had been up the entire night before, protecting this god-forsaken town of it's Hollow infestation. After living there for hundreds of years, Hyōsube could never figure out why Hollow's adored the city. "And here I am?" Vincenzo Montferrand, an elite arrancar in the Death's Hand, questioned his own destination. As usual, he was being lazy and didn't really wish to fight a former captain, as ordered by his superiors." Why do I have to fight a strong guy! I'm a weakling! Oh well, where do I go from here?" Vincenzo, leaping away from his small Garganta in the large plains, triggered a small amount of Hollow to appear in his vicinity." Honestly?" Vincenzo wondered, as he chanted." Bala" Immediately, his hand simply moved and green bullets of energy suddenly erupted, causing the hollows to crumble soon after. "Well now, that was easy. Now, I think I might watch some birds. After all, all work and no play doesn't do any good does it?" Vincenzo told himself, leaping into the air, and beginning to walk on it, much like a Fullbringer would do." So, where are the birds today?" Vincenzo began to move along the air, looking around for birds." Now this is what's called fun." He commented, and continued to move. Hyōsube's attention quickly diverted towards the distance, outside of the city and around the grasslands that sloped down hill. A new presence had arrived in Yōsakura, another Hollow most likely. Hyōsube sighed at the thought of another strong Hollow, especially since the last one nearly took his last good eye. Gripping the sheathed sword that rested at his left, Hyōsube huffed as he disappeared in a flicker, off to battle with this new foe. Vincenzo, his Pesquisa forever active, noticed a large spiritual power moving across the town, and was seemingly quite close to his position, at the least, on the ground." Hm? Don't tell me this guy is the one I need to fight?" Vincenzo noted to himself, before beginning to hover on the ground." Well...he seems slightly far away. I better hide myself to gain the advantage." Vincenzo thought, moving himself into a small alleyway that was dark and behind a few houses. He then concealed his spiritual presence, limiting it's range so that is was unknown to most except the most advanced sensors." Let's see what happens." Vincenzo thought to himself, waiting for his next enemy. Hyōsube darted through the skies of Yōsakura, pushing towards the edges of the city where the source of spiritual energy had become known. As quickly as it came, the spiritual energy suddenly went flat, drawing an immediate stop by the Shinigami. "He's hiding his spiritual energy..." Hyōsube said, giving a quick survey of the area. "Not good enough though." Hyōsube jetted in the direction of a group of housing projects, his well honed senses were not something to be taken lightly. " He found my location already? Wow, this guy is good. Oh well, we better get this show on the road." Vincenzo thought to himself, using Sonido he immediately transported to another location, an open plain, but close enough to town to cause a rumble." There we go. Now, to lure the man over here. This is an annoying task." Vincenzo, revealing his spiritual energy again, he chanted."Cero" Green spiritual energy revolved around Vincenzo's palm, suddenly, it blasted, causing a great large surge of spiritual energy which blasted into the empty bits of the town, turning it into nothing but rubble." Now, to fly away!" Vincenzo, leaping into the air, kept himself situated there, circling and waiting for his opponent. "Bakudō #81. Danku" Hyōsube proclaimed as he made his way to the battlefield. A clear wall of spiritual energy erected in front of Vincenzo and with another wave of Hyōsube's hand, two more quickly shot up from Vincenzo's left and right. "Nowhere left to go Hollow, It's time for you to die." " Hollow?" Vincenzo wondered for a moment, rephrasing Hyōsube's statement." It's Arrancar, and by the way. How can you seem so certain I shall die? After all, these barriers can't contain me for too long, can they?" Vincenzo asked the man, using his skill in Sonido to disappear from the confinement of the barriers, and appeared simply in front of the first barrier. Drawing his katana, ornate with an unusual winged-like hilt, Vincenzo asked." So, we begin?" Hyōsube recollected himself as he eyed what apparently was an Arrancar that stood opposite of him. Placing a hand inside of his kosode, Hyōsube gave a spin to his sheathed zanpakutō, catching the handle as the blade slid out. Hyōsube gave a smile to the Arrancar and said "Let's make this quick Hollow, I'm really tired!". A yawn escaped his lips, a show of mockery towards his opponent. Vincenzo, using this trait of the former captain to his advantage merely remarked." Really? Alright, how about I defeat you here and here, and get along with flying? That would save us both a lot of time. Don't you think, haha?" Vincenzo commented, putting his arms behind his back, as if it was contageous, Vincenzo yawned loudly, as if he didn't even register his opponent's presence. "Amplified Hadō #58. Tenran!" Hyōsube called, not even giving his opponent a chance to finish his yawn. Exploding forward, a tornado lashed out from the palm of the former Captain, but this one was unlike a standard Tenran spell. This tornado ripped up the ground as it blasted forward, charging towards Vincenzo like a bullet train on a rampage. Stunned, Vincenzo knew that he would be caught in the attack mildly, as immediately, he began to use Sonido, remembering that the barriers were still in place, he used them to his own advantage, leaping up and behind the Danku barrier, the tornado struck! The barrier held in place, knowing it was a strong barrier, but not strong enough to hold out forever, Vincenzo began to create a small sphere of energy on the palm of his hand. Just waiting for the barrier to break so he could repel the enormous tornado. Slicing downward, Hyōsube watched as the last of his attack shot forward. The sheer power of the Hadō slammed against the previously formed Bakudō, saving Vincenzo's life by a few seconds. The cracks in the Bakudō expanded, until they finally shattered the Bakudō, signaling Hyōsube to charge. Immediately attempting to intercept, Vincenzo's Cero blasted into the air, the tornado and blast clashed. Rotating winds and energy caused devastation to the surrounding environment, until none of the immediate area was left. Drawing his sword, Vincenzo took a defensive position, waiting for him and his opponent to clash! With a hearty thrust, Hyōsube launched his blade forward, slamming against the blunt of Vincenzo's own blade. Pushing onto his opponent, Hyōsube's eye darted around the area to see the full effect of Tenran and Vincenzo's Cero. Turning to Vincenzo, Hyōsube let out a laugh and said "You're pretty good!" " Haha, thanks for that!" Vincenzo laughed half-heartedly, before pushing Hyōsube's blade away from his own, and immediately took a single step backwards, channeling his blade with a small amount of spiritual power, he slashed towards Hyōsube, creating a small blast of spiritual energy which headed towards Hyōsube's head, Vincenzo merely commented." Why don't I take away that other eye of yours?"
