The Sanctum Templar is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII encountered in the Tesseracts of Orphan's Cradle. It takes half damage from all elements, although can be inflicted with Imperil. The Templars can't be fought in post-game after the player defeats the final boss, because the section they are fought in can no longer be accessed. The Templars drop Perovskite catalysts rarely.

abstract
| - The Sanctum Templar is an enemy in Final Fantasy XIII encountered in the Tesseracts of Orphan's Cradle. It takes half damage from all elements, although can be inflicted with Imperil. The Templars can't be fought in post-game after the player defeats the final boss, because the section they are fought in can no longer be accessed. The Templars drop Perovskite catalysts rarely. It is possible to cast both Pain and Fog on them simultaneously, although both have rather low success rates. The battle can be annoying and long, because the Templars are strong, but being at the end of the game, the player can use whatever Deceptisols they have left to preemptive the Templars. The Templars are capable of removing the party's buffs. However, as they keep doing it, the player can deploy a Synergist as a means of drawing their attention from using offensive attacks. The best tactic is to stagger them quickly with Ravagers.
