Charles Doty (August 17, 1824–December 17, 1918) was a Wisconsin pioneer, surveyor, United States military officer and state legislator. Born in Green Bay, Michigan Territory, Doty was trained to be a civil engineer and surveyor. He was also the son of Wisconsin territorial governor James Duane Doty, and served as his father's private secretary. He served in the United States Army during the American Civil War. After the war, Doty took inventory of supplies for the Native Americans and eventually retired to Bay County, Florida, where he died. In 1848, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
