One of the leaders of the Natives, Ned seems like a fun loving person despite the deep respect ZECT offers to him. When he first meets McCormick, he almost admires McCormick, asking if he can be McCormick's fan. Despite his innocent look, Ned actually has his own agenda & later carries it out once the Worms had been almost decimated. Believing Natives & humans would be unable to co-exist, Ned sets up the plan to turn all of humanity into Native & thus achieve his ideal peace. To that, he placed Holme as leader of ZECT & disposes Aaron Williams. However, Ned didn't count on McCormick's words to sway his comrades to have second thoughts of his plan. In the end, Shadowborg manages to capture him, dragging him inside the TV studio explosion that killed them off.
