- Silver Surfer ist ein auf einen Comichelden basierendes Videospiel für das NES, welches im Jahre 2007 vom Angry Video Game Nerd rezensiert wurde. James regt sich vor allem darüber auf, dass das Spiel zu schwer ist. Der Held stirbt nach nur einem einzigen Treffer. Außerdem stirbt et auch, wenn er eine Wand berührt. Somit ist es fast unmöglich, das Spiel durchzuspielen, da in jedem Level unzählige Feinde sind. Wenn der Held stirbt wird er auf seinem Brett kniend gezeigt, als würde er sich schämen oder weinen.

- This Marvel Comics character is the Herald of Galactus the Planet Eater, imbued with the "Power Cosmic". He is silver and rides a surfboard through space. Created by Jack Kirby in 1966, the Silver Surfer has a somewhat controversial origin as he first appeared in the Fantastic Four series (during the "Galactus Trilogy") and was thus assumed to have been co-created with series writer Stan Lee. However, Lee later admitted that Kirby added the character to the story on his own. Kirby felt that a being like Galactus should have a special herald to represent him. However, the Surfer's origin was invented by Lee (not Kirby) when the character got his own series.
- Norrin Radd, the man who would become the Silver Surfer, was born on the utopian planet of Zenn-La. When the world-eating Galactus came to Zenn La, Radd agreed to serve Galactus as his herald in return for the sparing of his homeworld. Galactus then imbued Radd with the Power Cosmic remaking him into the Silver Surfer. As the Surfer he possess the ability to fly faster than light on his telepathically controlled surfboard, manipulate vast amounts of cosmic energy, transform matter, heal others and can survive in the vacuum of space.
