This operation was an assault upon the New Manhattan Bacterial and Viral Institute of Research. A facility that tested and worked with contaminants discovered by colonists. The operation was to enter the facility, retrieve the AI that contained all the data that had been worked on, sterilize, and destroy. An entire division was deployed to the zone, however, turbulance in the atmosphere destroyed communications and forced many of the pods off course. This was a stroke of luck for some ODST who landed on the outskirts of the landing zone. An entire division was deployed to the zone, however, turbulance in the atmosphere destroyed communications and forced many of the pods off course. These two squads were lead by Oregon Hawkins, and Katrina Kay. Both of them met at a rondevous point and all other units met their. At this point, they decided to attack the facility through stealth. The two teams chose alternate routes and moved through the city, attempting to keep themselves well hidden from any enemies. In the end Alpha team, lead by Hawkins reached the facility. Kay's team was not to be sean. Suspecting they had been killed, Alpha went ahead with the operation. They secured the AI, which was found to have gone rougue, having killed all research staff in the building, suspecting them to be spies. Oregon plugged the AI into his suit, and in the time he was connected to the AI, his mental state degenerated. As his team was placing the charges, Bravo team, missing half it's members, reached Alpha and assisted with the work. Both teams escaped the facility and made it to the escape point, however were ambushed as the pelican drop ships reached them. The entire team was taken out by light infantry and snipers. Four members made it to the ships, and three died in flight to UNSC: Sleeping Titan. Oregon Hawkins was the soul survivor.
