Dr. Amy Franklin is an Atlanta Institute surgeon who takes care of King Kong, who's kept alive in a coma for 10 years after after being shot down from the World Trade Center. In order to save Kong's life, Dr. Franklin must perform a heart transplant and give Kong a computer-monitored artificial heart. However, in order to perform the surgery, a blood transfusion is required, and no species of ape has a blood type which matches Kong's. The surgery is later done when Lady Kong is captured, having the needed blood.She was portrayed by Linda Hamilton in King Kong Lives.
