Count Lippe is a SPECTRE operative who appears in the 1961 Ian Fleming novel Thunderball and its official 1965 film adaptation, in which he was portrayed by Guy Doleman. The character also appeared in Never Say Never Again - the unofficial 1983 remake of Thunderball. On that occasion he was played by Pat Roach. The Counts of Lippe really existed, and have descendants still living today. However, since 1806 all members of the family have had the title of Prince, not Count.
