  • Knock is a utility spell in ADOM. It allows the caster to magically open a closed or a locked door without setting off traps if there are any. Knock can be targeted on any door in the PC's immediate vicinity. Knock is a great starting spell for Wizards, Priests and Necromancers with low starting Toughness as door traps are sufficiently dangerous for this characters in the early game. A special mention goes for Mist elves who remain wary of door traps till mid-game due to their extremely slow hit point progression.

The object you unlock does not open automatically; you still must open it yourself after the ritual unlocks it.
