Between April 14 and April 20, 2024, 396 tornadoes touched down across the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Five of the tornadoes were rated EF5; one of which would be responsible for the third-most fatalities of any on record; another would break records for the highest winds ever recorded in a tornado; its record would later be broken on May 31 of the same year. Seven weeks after the April 2024 Super Outbreak, another weather system would produce an even larger system of tornadoes.
