In the year 2105, mankind is scouring a number of planets for unknown species of wildlife. Spaceway Commander Paul Bodine is searching the planet Roxglo-Minor. The planet appears to be barren until their observo-craft flies into a swarm of giant insects, identified by their computer as horno-flies. One lands on the craft and penetrates its hull with its huge spearlike tail. The ship just about makes it back to base where a clean-up crew destroys the creature. The ship is repaired and they leave the next day. Although the crew don't know it, they are carrying 50 eggs which the fly had laid in the engine-room before it was killed..
