The winningest head coach in Cavalier history is Richard "Dick" Cheney, who retired after the 2006 season when he suffered a heart attack a few weeks after the regular season finale. The Cavaliers play their games at Cheney Stadium (previously University Stadium), named so in 2010 in honor of the former coach. The Cavaliers are nicknamed the Cavs and, based on an old school cheer, the Wahoos or Hoos.
