The Holy Catholic Church of Paraguay (HCCP) was formed under Pope Luke I in order to allow the Paraguayan population to have a true catholic church, separate from Rome. Pope John Paul III later renamed it to the Catholic Church of Christ (CCC) in order to openly accept believers outside the traditional Paraguayan borders. The church is independent of any government and is free to exercise its beliefs in accordance with international law. It now spans the countries of: Paraguay, Peru, and Bolivia.
