The 2004 presidential election of Rio Blanco took place on 1 August 2004, to elect the president of Rio Blanco. If a candidate gained 51% (or more) of the votes, he/she would be elected President. In this election, 74% of the population (5,643,500 inhabitants) voted. Even though some polls gave D'Ambrogio ahead of Sladger, this election saw Carl Sladger, former President of the Rioblancoan Committee for Indian Affairs, being elected with 52.1% of the popular vote, as well as carrying five states plus the DCD. It was also the last election to feature a Progressive-Conservative two-party run.
