Karenna is a Trainer for the Art of Fighting in Minoc during the time of Ultima VII. She, like all of the town, had been shocked by the brutal double-murder of two gypsies, especially since she was sympathetic to them. However, when she told the Avatar that they some days ago had thrown a stone through a window of the Fellowship hall, the Avatar felt that this could be a hint. She bemoaned that things weren't as they had been in Minoc, and mentioned the statue that was about to be erected in honor of Owen the shipwright, feeling that the whole thing was stupid. However, she wasn't very political and said, others could give more details.

However, she wasn't very political and said, others could give more details. When asked about Jakher, with which she was forced to share a training hall, she admitted that he wasn't that bad looking. Getting these news to Jakher encourage him to try to win her over. Of course she also offered her services as a trainer to the Avatar.
