The Five of Boston is an informal group of five photographers who met in Boston and particularly at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The term Boston School is also sometimes used. It seems to be excessive as each of theses photographers distinguish themselves by their own style, influences or techniques but they share similarities besides living in the same city. Their pictures deal with intimacy, human condition, the specific relation between the photographer and his subject. The Five of Boston:
