The Lotus Empire is made up of many nations, including the island kingdom of Hashima. The kingdoms of Shanriya in the Dragons' Causeway and Sayama in the Sahaar Desert were once vassal states of the Lotus Empire, but later became independent, though the Empress attempted to bring them back by force.

The Lotus Empire is made up of many nations, including the island kingdom of Hashima. The kingdoms of Shanriya in the Dragons' Causeway and Sayama in the Sahaar Desert were once vassal states of the Lotus Empire, but later became independent, though the Empress attempted to bring them back by force. Sometimes, the empire has gone through civil wars caused by daimyos who attempt to overthrow the Eternal Empress and take her place. During these wars, nagas will cut their political relationships with other nation, wanting to avoid involving outsiders in their conflicts. These wars are often followed by diasporas, which are periods of expansion and interactions with the outside world.
