In fact...he welcomed them. Orochimaru's training regimens and experimentations came to a high point when he developed a procedure that was sure to put Omoi a step above the rest: the Brain Charge. It was essentially a surgery that would implant the life experiences and skills of one person into the mind of another, making them all the more powerful. It was a success with the Sannin utilizing the psyche of Styx Osuna, one of Orochimaur's subjects as the base template. The process was a success though Orochimaru would modify key-traits mainly to further cement his loyalty to himself above all others. The end result was the process being a bit too successful as Omoi was a super-genius and due to the modifications done to him, he became even more intelligent than he was originally. Due to his perfect it was distorted it further, rather than copying it resulted in the memories being integrated mentally to make sense affixing certain things to Styx's own memories distorting them and erasing any connection to Omoi's old life. While both sets of abilities were retained and Omoi's short memories were absorbed into Styx's 30 year old life and integrated in order to make sense, the personalities of the two thanks to Orochimaru's interference were merged on some level certain traits cancelling out but overall resulting in a new outlook on life. After the realizations of what his life had become thanks to another experiment used to forcibly awaken his mind and thanks in part to his perfect memory, he was able to restore that which was Brain Charged away from him. Initially it was confusing but he managed to learn how to rearrange his mind in a way that was most suited towards him so that he didn't go insane from information overload, namely the Fission Technique. This split his psyche allowing him to direct those personality traits which he no longer identified with to his Splits so they could express them and allow him to shut them off without missing out on whatever benefits those traits gave him.
