Old-Timey Tobias is Old-Timey Ice Cream Parlour's main mascot. Even though he is supposed to go around the restaurant making little kids happy, it seems to have the opposite effect and they throw their food at him and do other naughty stuff, as well as they make them cry. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School, Rodrick Heffley got the job as dressing up as Old-Timey Tobias as the last guy who did it was fired as he took the costume's head off when he went out for a smoke and was seen by some little kids. However, after Rodrick got the job, he was still being bombed with food and jumped on, and even lost one of the costume's eyes. When Rodrick went into the car-pool lane to avoid getting stuck in a traffic jam and be late for work, he made it look like Old-Timey Tobias was sitting next to him

When Rodrick went into the car-pool lane to avoid getting stuck in a traffic jam and be late for work, he made it look like Old-Timey Tobias was sitting next to him in the passenger seat since the rule for the car-pool lane is that you have to have at least two people in your vehicle. However, he was pulled over by a cop who must have recognized Old-Timey Tobias from the Old-Timey Ice Cream Parlour, and after Rodrick's van was towed because the cop realized it was unsafe. Rodrick then had to walk along the side of the highway and got food thrown at him by the kids who were stuck in the traffic jam. Based on Greg Heffley, the old mascot probably did what he did on purpose because of all the "torture" working with the kids.
