In the aftermath of the 2016 Presidential election, Democrats spent months holding trials and hearings regarding Russian influence in the election. By late October, many thought that the allegations were simply politically motivated witch hunts, until a Clinton campaign volunteer stepped forward to reveal that Russia had not influenced the election to help Trump win, but that China and Cuba had influenced the election to help Hillary Clinton win the election. This outraged Republicans and moderate Democrats, leading to investigations of the allegations. They turned out to be completely true, and in addition it was found that many Democratic Senators had been helped by China and Cuba. This was dispelled by many Democrats until California Senator Dianne Feinstein apologized for accepting fun
