In early 2009, a clueless Lost Cub named Claude was found in St. Claire and brought to the Hidden Walk. By the time his (admittedly faint) blood ties to the Wendigo tribe were uncovered, he already felt an affinity for the Children of Gaia. August and his packmate Zosia took charge of Claude's training. His rite of passage involved judging a fellow Gaian-claimed 'lost' cub at the Sept of the Western Eye outside of San Francisco. Upon his return, Claude was accepted as a child of Unicorn and given the name ~Holds Steadfast to Gaia's Justice.~

  • In early 2009, a clueless Lost Cub named Claude was found in St. Upon his return, Claude was accepted as a child of Unicorn and given the name ~Holds Steadfast to Gaia's Justice.~ As a cliath, he demonstrated a surprising level of dedication, throwing himself fully into his role as a Garou. For whatever reason, he seemed to feel no desire to resume any part of his previous human life. The young philodox stayed away from the city of St. Claire entirely, spending the large majority of his time watching over the bawn. In the spring of 2010, he helped form the guardian pack Temperance, under Unicorn. Toward the end of the year, however, Claude became noticably restless. In December 2010, he left the Sept to heed what he blushingly referred to as "the call of the wild." Originally he planned to seek a wolf mate. When that particular venture failed, he ended up trekking across the country to visit his Wendigo-kin grandmother in Quebec. The following winter he again sought after a mate. Once more he was unsuccessful, but he has learned much about wild wolves in the attempt, and he still hopes that one day he will father cubs of his own. He finally returned to the Hidden Walk in the spring of 2012, only to find that most of his packmates had dispersed. Even worse, the caern had been overtaken by Wyld spirits, rendering the entire bawn completely inaccessible. This caused Claude to sink into a depression. Within a few months he had vanished again--this time into the umbra. Aljan, his former pack's totem spirit, led him to the Children of Gaia's tribal homeland to heal his troubled heart. Toward the end of 2013, when Claude returned from his umbral journey, he was surprised to realize how long he had been in the homeland. To him it seemed to be a period of weeks, but well over a year had passed in the physical world. Those who knew the philodox from his earlier days at the Hidden Walk would note a change in him. Now he seems less awkward and hesitant, much more sure of himself, and all traces of his previous depression are gone.
