| - The eye is a sense organ, and contains receptors which sense light. These receptors are of two types: rods and cones. These are found in the retina, in a thin layer at the back of the eye. When light falls onto these rods and cones, the light energy creates tiny electrical signals in them. These then go to the brain, along the optic nerve - taking less than a second to reach there. The brain will then interpret these signals so that we can 'see' an image. The clarity of this image depends on how clear the image made by the light falling on the retina is. Therefore, the parts of the eye near the front focus the light, which then forms a clear image on the retina.

- Everything has eyes. Even squirrels have eyes. There once was a badger called Derrick; he had eyes and the world was forever changed. Paris Hilton appears to have one eye that is slightly smaller than the other. It is in fact a congealed piece of cheese that became lodged in her eye socket during a masturbation/ eating session. It is unknown at this time whether the cheese is swiss or american. The eyes of some species of cloud are known to bleed white lightening. Beware as this substance is what causes mice trios to go blind and Mt. Dew to go black. And once you go Black you NEVER go back.
- The Eye, also known as the Queen of Mirrors or Fourfold Watcher, is one of the four Archigenitors of the Seers of the Throne and the Exarch of Space. She sends visions encoded in the most intimate aspects of a Seer’s life: code words in a lover’s speech, or extra instructions written into a plan to overthrow the tetrarch. She grants the Prelacy of Vision, her ministry is the Panopticon and her number is four. She is usually depicted as a great eye upon a throne, a pillar or a pyramid, or a sun disk veiled by clouds.

- Eye is the name given to a large, angry eye that appears in the center of the Netherworld. It seems to be the watcher of the entire world. Dr. Filius said that Eye only appears for short bursts most of the time, however even when he's not around, Chris DeLuca's hightened senses can still sense his presence. Upon Chris' entry into the Netherworld, Eye has begun to appear more frequently, and has taken a more direct interest. When Chris got a gem that could unlock the exit from the Netherworld, the Eye did not permit it and attempted to take Chris and the gem with his eye-beams.
- Eye is a security system featured only in Super Metroid. It appears in "old Brinstar", and is used to detect the presence of intruders, such as Samus Aran, and send an alert to the Space Pirates. It appears in two of the first explored rooms in Brinstar, the first of which contains the Morph Ball once again and the second an Energy Tank as well as a new Missile Tank. The security cameras activate when Samus acquires the Morph Ball, which is right in front of the eye. This could suggest that the Morph Ball was stolen by Pirates from either Chozo ruins or Samus herself placed it back where it used to be, with the Pirates later having installed the eye to guard it. When it detects Samus, the eyeball opens and shines a harmless yellow beam on Samus, ringing and flashing until she leaves its si
- The eye is one of the most potent and universal symbols on Earth. In ancient Egypt it represented the All-Seeing Horus, the Sun, while in modern times it is considered a "window to the soul." The eyes of drug-users are often called "saucers" or "black-holes" because of their dilated pupils and apparent absent-mindedness (marijuana does not cause this, however psychedelics such as LSD, magic mushrooms and MDMA do, as do cocaine and other stimulants, among other drugs). Hardly a century ago, though, this was a sign of beauty and many women used herbs of the nightshade family to induce this pupil-dilation - at great risk to their hearts.
- The EYE is an international and "inter-corporate" police force founded by and linked to the Syndicate. Though the name appears to be an acronym, what it might stand for is never spelled out (as is the case with WATI and JIVA). They operate both in the real world and on the Wire, monitoring communications and transmission traffic, and tracking illicit software. When interrogating suspects the EYE demands an individual's CID number, name, address and occupation. The longer version of their name comes from the Philip K. Dick novel Eye in the Sky
- Some characters, such as aliens and metahumans, have the ability to fire energy blasts from their eyes. Doctor Pelagian once referred to his pet birds, Hector and Helen, as his eyes and ears. When Marvin and Wendy were at Mystery Mountain at night time, they saw Batman and Robin's eyes glowing in the dark. Wendy assumed it was just owls, but Marvin was fearful they were monsters. Loco was trying to take a photograph of Rebos and Wonder Dog with his camera, but he was aiming it backward, and the flash blinded his eyes.
