A new concept in FFH2 v0.4.0. Whenever any unit attacks the game checks for any enemy unit with defensive strike in the defending stack. Only units with this ability, which have not made a strike yet or are capable of multiple attacks (Blitz, Orthus's Axe) can make defensive strikes. Each unit that qualifies has a chance equal to his defensive strike chance to be able to make the attack. If multiple defending units can make a defensive strike only the unit that can do the most damage is used (so an attacking unit will only face one strike).
