Shipyards such as the Cardan III-class space station were nearly taxed to their limits when attempting to build the largest "normal" capital ships, like Nebula-class Star Destroyers or Aggressor-class Star Destroyers, but the Telgorn class was meant to frequently handle ships of that size. A single yard had six docking bays, two of which could build or repair Aggressors and the other four could build ships up to Nebula size.

  • Shipyards such as the Cardan III-class space station were nearly taxed to their limits when attempting to build the largest "normal" capital ships, like Nebula-class Star Destroyers or Aggressor-class Star Destroyers, but the Telgorn class was meant to frequently handle ships of that size. A single yard had six docking bays, two of which could build or repair Aggressors and the other four could build ships up to Nebula size. Unless there happened to be a shortage of larger warships, these shipyards built mainly escort carriers of both varieties, and each module could build three regular or two commando-type, end-to-end. The yard itself was 1,440 meters long, and had two medium-sized hangars, but these were filled with tugs—ships with tractor beams or tow cables—to move materials around and to build ships more quickly. When a new yard was made, its first products stayed in the general area to defend the station, as it had no armaments of its own.
