Jack Ely (July 21, 1957 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Bethel, CT. He competed in three Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Ely debuted in 1986, racing at Pocono. Starting 36th in the field, Ely completed all but fifteen laps in route to a respectable 25th place effort. Ely did so well he was given another ride in the July Pocono event, when he drove to a career-best 20th place finish. Ely's final race came in 1989, racing for his own team at Dover. Starting 37th in the field of forty, Ely fell out at the halfway point with rear end gear issues and finished 35th.
