In ADOM versions prior to 1.2.0 Prerelease 8[1], traps are generated in a certain sequence, progressing from left to right and top to bottom. So traps found by moving diagonally towards right upper corner would be on the same line, while moving on right down line will cause jumps per two numbers. 1. * Teleportation 2. * Water 3. * Fireball 4. * Pit 5. * Light 6. * Corruption 7. * Stone block 8. * Alarm 9. * Arrow 10. * Acid 11. * Pit with vipers 12. * Spears The latest versions [after pre8] randomize traps, making this table useless.

  • In ADOM versions prior to 1.2.0 Prerelease 8[1], traps are generated in a certain sequence, progressing from left to right and top to bottom. So traps found by moving diagonally towards right upper corner would be on the same line, while moving on right down line will cause jumps per two numbers. 1. * Teleportation 2. * Water 3. * Fireball 4. * Pit 5. * Light 6. * Corruption 7. * Stone block 8. * Alarm 9. * Arrow 10. * Acid 11. * Pit with vipers 12. * Spears On no-teleport areas (such as the elemental temples or the cat lord's level), teleport traps are replaced by ceiling traps. This table is meant for calculating the sequence of traps on a level or between levels (using natural +5 in sequence for next dungeon level). Numbers do not correspond to exact top trap type numbers listed in other sources such as any guidebook. While using +5 method one should use 1 as trap after 12, so from level with spear trap as top next one should be the one with light trap as top one. The latest versions [after pre8] randomize traps, making this table useless.
