From an early age, her parents noted her ability to move things and take what they had told her not to touch. At first they attributed it to baby and toddler ingenuity, but after a while, they realized that their daughter was strong with the Force. However, they feared for her safety, as the Empire ruled Balmorra at the time, and their daughter would possibly be harmed by them. So they left that place, heading towards Eriadu. Many of their extended family members didn't understand. The Horcl'os family had been factory workers since before they could remember, and Balmorra had been their home. Why this part of the family wanted to leave and head to Eriadu, they did not understand, but they accepted it. On Eriadu, the parents hid the child's Force prowess from the New Republic also, convinced that the NR would inform the Jedi Order who would come to take their daughter away. Indeed, something like this happened, though it wasn't the Jedi or the NR that came and took the child away. It was the Hellfyre. The Horcl'os family had once long ago scrapped up enough money to buy a service from the Hellfyre, after the brutal and vicious murder of one of their family members. Instead of accepting payment, the leader of the Hellfyre took a promise. The promise was that one day the family would be called upon to do a favor for the Hellfyre. The leader at the time called that debt in, and the family gave Mikon up to them. Mikon was eight when it happened and was brought to Lukros to receive training in the Force.
