Once the Kojima Productions brand was phased out in early 2015, the studio was renamed "Konami Los Angeles Studio." On November 3, 2015, Konami announced that the studio had been closed. In both the Déjà Vu and Jamais Vu missions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the Kojima Productions Los Angeles logo makes a cameo as a background on an armory trailer, as well as a searchlight nearby. The player needs to use the light to merge with the "background" to form the logo. Kazuhira Miller, upon the player doing so, will then call in saying "Well, I'll be! Kojima Productions L.A.!"
