The Smugglers Guild was a short-lived criminal organization in the Cularin system. In 32 BBY, members of The Cell under the orders of (probably) Ari Melast began a scheme to assassinate crime lord Nirama, replace him and reinstate slavery in the system. They began using the name "Smugglers Guild" before having actually killed Nirama or his top men. The murder plot failed, the guilty parts were quickly identified and taken care of, and Nirama kept the power on the system.

During the Clone Wars, the Smugglers Guild had apparently reformed or reorganized. Still involved with slavery, representatives of the Smugglers Guild placed a bid for the people of Kiros at the Royal Slave Auction on Zygerria. Their eight and a half million credit bid was the high bid until the auction was disrupted by the Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano.
