Rosemary Burnett is the former head of Amnesty International (Scotland) having left the position in January 2007 to contest the 2007 Scottish Parliament Election as a Scottish Green Party candidate. She was second on the Greens Party's "list" for the Glasgow region. However, she failed to get elected as the party's share of the list vote actually decreased in the election. She is currently working for the Guatemala Solidarity Network, having worked as a human rights observer and women's rights worker in Guatemala.
