| - Featherstone is a character from the 2011 Touchstone Pictures film Gnomeo & Juliet.
- The town came to national attention in 1893 after a riot over the rising price of tripe. The army was called in to quell the uprising and a number of people were killed. Although only three shots were fired, over a thousand people claimed to have been hit and injured. They are still claiming incapacity benefits to this day, almost 120 years later.
- Featherstone is the right hand man to the King in two Tales from Muppetland fairytale specials. In the 1969 Hey Cinderella!, Featherstone serves King Goshposh, and in 1971's The Frog Prince, he works for the nearly identical King Rupert the Second. Featherstone functions as advisor, prime minister, and announcer at royal occasions such as balls or coronations. Featherstone later appeared on The Muppet Show in episode 423. However, a redesigned, full-bodied version of the puppet was also used in earlier seasons as the Queen, in episodes 121 and 202.
- Featherstone was a female Starfleet engineer in the 24th century. During the mid 2370s, Chief Featherstone was temporarily assigned to Starbase Deep Space 9. During her time there, she made a positive impression on both Captain Benjamin Sisko and Chief Miles O'Brien, and befriended Crewman Fabian Stevens. During the few weeks she was there, she earned the nickname "Heart-of-Stone" from Stevens.

As of 2377, Featherstone was assigned to the USS Hood, and that year, was one of four officers assigned to guard the wreckage of a newly-discovered Borg cube until being relieved by a team from the USS da Vinci. She and Stevens were able to briefly catch up with each other at that time. (CoE eBook: The Light)
