Itto Shoden Muto-Ryuu: Unity of Light and Dark is one of Kiritsu's subtechniques based off of Itto Shoden Muto-Ryu. By utilizing both his light and dark natures, Kiritsu can deliver an instant, almost unseeable combo of sword slashes, using his light form for one, dark form for the other, and so on until the combo is complete. The technique has one major drawback to it. Because Kiritsu is allowing his dark form to surface, it allows it to become more dominant, as such the technique must be used in limited situations. This can also be used to dodge an attack, as done with his spar with Amaka Date to barely avoid being bisected by Hiramekarei.
