Note that due to a bug, in ADOM versions prior to 1.2.0 they only boosted the PC's critical rate when wielded in either hand — so wearing them as they should be worn did not grant this bonus.[1]

| - They confer an excellent armor bonus, regeneration, a huge bonus to dexterity, luck, resistance to stunning, death rays, and confusion. There is no PC that would not benefit from these bonuses; the fact that they occupy the otherwise not terribly useful bracers slot make them epic. Few other artifacts in the game have this universal utility. Bracers may be worn while true berserking, making the bracers of war universally beneficial.
