Synopsis
  • The issue opens with the FF attending Franklin's baseball championship game. He struggles at first, but ends up hitting the game winning home run. The team return to the Baxter Building to celebrate with a pizza party. The party is interrupted when Reed gets a call from Time Variance Authority. Mr. Mobius goes on to explain that there are time anomalies popping up all over the country. Dinosaurs in the mid-west, electricity going off the grid as if it hadn't been invented yet in other areas, etc. Reed is hesitant to leave his son's party as he's trying to be more attentive to his family, but given the severity of the situation, he decides to help. The FF fire up Reed's time platform and head off to investigate. Reed assures a disappointed Franklin that, to him, it will seem as if they immediately disappeared and reappeared. Something goes wrong while navigating the time stream. They are knocked off course and sent crashing in to a desert with no idea of where or when they are. Worse still, the Human Torch has been separated from the rest of the team. Even WORSE yet, the villain has appeared in the Baxter Building in the room that Franklin was waiting for his parents to return...
