The Battle of Kopalnia (Cruentusian War) was a battle of the Cruentusian War, that took place on the barren mining world of Kopalnia. It was started by the Necasian Military, when their commander Askar Invado decided that he needed a victory to solidify his position as leader of the Necasians, after Haveer Jarn's success on Kyros shortly before. He decided to launch an assault on Kopalnia, which was owned by the Srav Federation, which was mining radioactive materials from old Rataka mines in the planet, and Askar felt that seizing the world could put a dent into Srav nuclear production. The Necasians launched their attack on the world, and as both sides battled, a group of elite Rataka warriors, the Lost Ones, infiltrated the world, looking for an abandoned Rataka artifact known as the Han

The Necasians launched their attack on the world, and as both sides battled, a group of elite Rataka warriors, the Lost Ones, infiltrated the world, looking for an abandoned Rataka artifact known as the Hand of Darkness, which functioned in a similar way to a miniature Star Forge. The Lost Ones managed to get away with their artifact, but this was just their first foray into the war.
