Cylindrical Pads are podiums that appear in the sewer levels of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Crash uses them to safely cross the water when it is being charged with electricity by an Electric Eel. However Crash must quickly cross the water to the next cylindrical pad once the eel has temporarily discharged all of it's electricity, because the cylindrical pad will sink if it is being stood on for too long.

However Crash must quickly cross the water to the next cylindrical pad once the eel has temporarily discharged all of it's electricity, because the cylindrical pad will sink if it is being stood on for too long. If the cylindrical pad sinks too low, then Crash will become electrocuted the next time the eel charges the water with electricity, regardless if he is standing on the cylindrical pad or not.
