- "My unity has been shattered, my duty is to kill, and my destiny is unknown. This the way of the hunter."- Tyrak Tyrak is a misterious Toa Hordika of Dark-fire and is a veteran member of the Order of Mata Nui. He is also the son of Toa Lhikan and Toa Naho and is the brother of Nahla.
- Tyrak, codename Golden by the Republic Strategic Information Service, was a Human male who held the rank of a Moff in the army and commander of the 63rd Armored Infantry Division of the resurgent Sith Empire during the Cold War.
- Lying in the foothills of the Sibianur Mountains, Tyrak was once the capital of Drakon Province, in northwestern Koridan. It was an important urban center, providing a central market for the products of the numerous mines located in the mountains, as well as providing a position of defence from the various Danaran invasions from the north.
- Tyrak is a Nerazim healer, specializing in treating damage to psionic appendages, as the Dark Templar commonly sever theirs. Shortly after the Fall of Aiur he treated Lekila, a former high templar whose nerve cords had been severed by the zerg, cutting her off from the Khala. He attached energy clamps to her cord stumps for the energy bleed.

All of that changed in 3256 KY, when the evil mage Seraada arrived. He had recently been outcast from the Mage's Academy in Velloria, found the ancient ruins of Tiras Lorin, been taken over by a joKara parasite, and eventually found his way to the unsuspecting Tyrak. Using magic to disguise his appearance, he pretended to be a traveling merchant. Before the citizens realized what was happening, they began disappearing. Seraada was performing his necromantic acts and changing them into his goblin army and troggle servants. Now, Tyrak is completely inhabited by goblins and troggles, with the occasional worg roaming the streets. The nearest towns and villages of Brina, Desdrin and Mounthold also suffered the same fate. The Koridian government relocated the provincial capital to Rasmus.
When Lekila awoke, she expressed disdain for him (as he was a Dark Templar) as well as herself, attempting to kill herself with psionic storms. He convinced her to stop, as her people cared enough for her to ask the Dark Templar for aid. He also told her that, since she was cut off from the Khala, the Void embraced her.
