The Second Treaty of Csilla was a peace treaty signed by the Galactic Alliance and the Galactic Empire in 551 BBY. After the first Treaty of Csilla, which established limitations on military use after the peaceful dissolution of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, the Alliance and the Empire realized that any attempts they made to evolve militarily could create suspicion and mistrust on the part of the other government, threatening centuries of lasting peace. The second treaty, again hosted by the Chiss Ascendancy, sought to rectify those concerns.

| - The Second Treaty of Csilla was a peace treaty signed by the Galactic Alliance and the Galactic Empire in 551 BBY. The treaty established that neither the Alliance nor the Empire would significantly expand their military numbers. Technology could be improved, but only upon inspection by the other government. Expansion was limited, however, as maintaining large fleets became expensive for them. Because of the lasting peace, both governments reduced their military forces and mothballed entire fleets in hidden locations throughout the galaxy. Peace would last until the Sith returned, took over the Empire, and launched the Third Galactic Civil War in 1,011 ABY.
