The Imperial Cross (Dorvische: Kaiserliche Kreuz) is a military award which was awarded throughout the duration of the Kingdom of Dorvik since it was created in 1803 by the Dorvish Imperial General Staff at the behest of King Leopold III. The medal was the first award given to the common soldier and was often bestowed by their senior officer, thus Sergeants and Lieutenants were often seen awarding this medal and not members of the Dorvish Imperial General Staff. The Imperial Cross 1st and 2nd Class were required to be eligible for the Prince's Cross of the Imperial Cross.

The medal was the first award given to the common soldier and was often bestowed by their senior officer, thus Sergeants and Lieutenants were often seen awarding this medal and not members of the Dorvish Imperial General Staff. The award was given for "Courage in the face of danger while in combat with the enemies of the King." it was awarded in two classes, 1st and 2nd. It was awarded continuously until 2000 when the award was scrapped in favor of the Dorvish Cross which looks the same as the Imperial Cross however has the Dorvish Lion at the center and not a crown. The main difference between the 1st class and the 2nd class is that the 2nd class was a medal worn on the left lower breast pocket while the 1st class had a ribbon which was worn over the left breast pocket, or the medals ribbon could be attached to the third button down on the standard issue military shirt and tucked into the shirt, displaying just the ribbon. Whilst on parade the metal could be worn around the neck. The Imperial Cross 1st and 2nd Class were required to be eligible for the Prince's Cross of the Imperial Cross.
