Guo Xong was the first son of Guo Fang and the Second Emperor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. When he became 16, his father died and he became Emperor. He took to the task with vigour, bringing an end to the war with Western Jin and executing his cousin, Guo Yi. He spent the rest of his reign trying to quell internal riots and struggles.
