Dirk Antonie Nicholas Margadant (The Hague, 22 February 1849 – Amsterdam, October 26, 1915) was a Dutch architect; He designed several buildings for the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij. His role includes the Den Haag HS station buildings (1891, second station) and Haarlem (1906, fourth station). Margadants early designs are in the style of the renaissance. It is obvious that this style own Margadant made through the work of Christiaan posthumus Meyjes sr. who between 1880 and 1887 was employed as an architect for the HIJSM.In the later work of Margadant becomes more visible the influence of H.P. Berlage .
