| - Now when the verbs can be modified to a greater extent one will need to be able to say more, location relative to things and such, in english it is done through prepositions but due to Umbrean being head final it is using postpositions, meaning it places the adposition behind the noun, instead of "on the table" its "the table on" Föen is a verb meaning "to give" but in the sense of handing over usually in the form of having been requested to do it already or something that belongs to the subject already. Lyyoxy is a normal table ñüth means on, ontop of something {|class="wikitable" style="text-align: center;" ! Lyyoxyv ñüthymi döndilu föënömëkhso |- | You give me the tooth on the table, now. |} In the example the postposition is underlined along with the ending on of Lyyohz, lyyohzyv it should be noticed that items that is modified by a postposition always takes on dative case. Another thing to notice is that the postpositional phrases comes before what they modify as Umbrean is a head final language but the most striking thing is that even though the postposition is ñüth is the ground postposition it is declined according to the gender of the noun it takes, Lyoxy which has the gender "Artificial" makes it ñüthymi, go to here to see the declensions. If happens to be a noun phrase from a sentence the gender of the postposition is determined by the gender of the verb {|class="wikitable" style="text-align: center;" ! << Previous Lesson !
