The Nail Polish Remover is an item found during Heather Mason's journey through Brookhaven Hospital in Silent Hill 3. The bottle is found inside the second floor Women's Locker Room, inside an open locker. The nail polish remover is used to remove the stairwell key from the wall in Room C4. Evidently, one of the hospital's patients, Stanley Coleman, had glued various stolen objects to the wall. Stanley refers to the objects in one of his diary entries, and also states that: "You [Heather] can peel it off, can't you, with that junk those nasty wenches won't stop using?"

The "junk" Stanley refers to is the nail polish remover, and by using it on the key, Heather is able to pry it off and take it.
