The Chasseurs Britanniques was a battalion-sized corps of foreign volunteers, who fought for Great Britain during the Napoleonic Wars. The regiment was formed from the remnants of the Prince of Condé's Army after it was disbanded in 1800. The regiment entered British service in 1800 and continued to fight for Great Britain until 1814, when it was disbanded after Napoleon's first abdication and exile to Elba.

Despite the fact that many in the ranks are intelligent enough to act as skirmishers, expatriate infantry carry smoothbore, muzzle-loading muskets and usually fight as line infantry. It is easier to maintain discipline in such units. Historically, expatriate infantry varied in quality. The Irish Catholic "Wild Geese" in French service fought well, especially against the English. The French Royalist "Chasseurs Britanniques" in the British army, did not relish battle and often deserted at the first opportunity.
