"He wanted to liberate Libya from the Templars."-Assassin discussing Idris King Idris ( March 12 1889 to may 25 1983) was the last king of Libya. Idris was supported by the Assassins while fighting the Templar-backed Italians during world war 2. After the Italians fled Libya, Idris ruled the kingdom while being supported by the Assassins. In the early 1960's, Abstergo began building Oil reserves in Libya. Idirs tried to bar them from entering Libya. After this, Abstergo organised a coup that removed Idris from power and allowed their puppet, Muammar Gadaffi to take power.
